NEW PPA WEBSITE – MyPPA COMPETITION
The MyPPA section of the website has seen an astonishing 1100 members register since going live. This section allows you to maintain your membership details, view your seeding and get personalized results when you log on.

PPA held a lucky draw on Friday 6 May 2011 for all our members who had uploaded profile pictures – congratulations to our winner, Carla Swanson. The PPA office will be in touch shortly regarding your prize.

TRANSPONDERS: MAKE SURE YOU GET A RESULT
Transponders must be worn either aroundyour ankle, or through using the bike mount supplied by Racetec. DO NOT cabletie the transponders to the front fork, or laced through your shoelaces as the fork and/or metal in the shoe interferes with the working of the transponder. No transponder, No time – make sure you get yours!

ROUTE DESCRIPTION
For the first 5km, the routes follow scenic farm roads and jeep tracks through olive orchards and vineyards. Then the 10 km route turns onto the Nonna/De Wet road and returns through vineyards to the venue. The 30 km route includes rocky single and jeep tracks over typical Karoo hills and the lower Langeberg mountain’s until it reaches a secondary gravel road, after which it joins the 10 km route.
The 60 km route is aimed at experienced cyclists and includes fairly technical sections. After leaving the 30 km route, the 60 km route heads east to Vink River on a fast gravel section before turning to the mountains. A fast downhill to the railway track follows, after which the route climbs back to the top of the Mowers hills (inside a game camp) and returns to the Nuy Valley on a mixture of jeep tracks and farm roads through vineyards and olive orchards.

DIRECTIONS TO VENUE
Take the N1 from Cape Town. Turn right into Worcester at the third robot.  At the fifth robot, turn left into High Street, then turn right at the next robot onto the R60 to Robertson. Continue for 14km and turn left at Nuy. Continue for 4km to the indicated parking area for the MTB event at Willow Creek Estate.
