NEW ON THE PPA WEBSITE
The “friend request” functionality on the MyPPA section of the PPA website is up and running! If you’d like to link to another PPA member, you can now invite him/her to become a friend, after which you can eg send emails or chat to the person via the website.Log onto MyPPA, check out the membership directory and click on the name of the person you’d like to invite to become a friend. The person will receive an email as well as see in the panel in the bottom right-hand corner where the ‘chat room’ is, a number on top of the person’s icon (the middle one).
This tells you the number of ‘friend requests’ waiting. Click on this icon to view all friend requests you haven’t accepted yet.
When you have accepted friend requests, the first icon on the left in the panel will show green if any of your friends are online as well as tell you how many are online at the same time you are. If you click on this icon, you will be also able to chat with your friend individually and not via the chat room which is open to all web users.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION
The 40 km and 29 km route riders can look forward to a scenic ride through the vineyards and over undulating hills in the Robertson Valley.
The 40 km route is a rewarding route for fit riders, as this route includes challenging and technical climbs and descents. Only experienced riders should attempt the long route. The 29 km route, on the other hand, is a pleasant meander through vineyards and over gentle hills and is not as technical as the 40 km route. Expect a combination of jeep and single track sections on both. The untimed 12 km route consists only of jeep tracks and is suitable for children and novices.
DIRECTIONS TO VENUE
From Robertson, take the McGregor turn-off. Cross over the Breede River, and take the left fork to McGregor. Continue for about 7 km, and then turn left on to the gravel road (PARU). Continue for a further 2 km and turn left to Paru Farm. Expect some 1h45 to 2 hours driving time from Cape Town. See the PPA website for interactive route directions.
WEATHER FORECAST
Minimun temp of 11 degrees Celcuis, Maximun temps of 17 degrees Celcuis.
Mostly cloudy with some sun, no rain predicted in the morning.
