01 Aug 2024 Goodbye to a true legend
Tim Brink a legend in the cycling fraternity in South Africa, sadly passed away after his battle with cancer. As the editor of Bicycling Magazine SA and Ride Magazine, he wrote passionately about cycling and what it meant to him and inspired so many others to cycle. He actively promoted safe cycling and women’s cycling throughout the years. The Pedal Power Association is proud to have had the support of Tim as reflected in the many incredible features he wrote about the organisation over the years.
Tim was first and foremost a family man and a great friend to many, he was a people’s person. He always saw the positive side of life even during his illness. He was grateful for every moment he got to spend with his family and was always filled with hope.
Tim your were a giant in the cycling world and loved by everyone whose lives you touched. You inspired so many people through your journey in life. You always smiled, no matter how tough times were and had an incredible sense of humour.
To his family and friends we offer our sincere condolences and may you be consoled by the legacy he leaves behind. The cycling fraternity will miss him. May his soul rest in everlasting peace.
