PPA Women’s Cycling Workshop on 10 Feb

PPA Women’s Cycling Workshop on 10 Feb

Here’s one for the girls: Are you new to cycling, and want to know more about cycle training, women-specific cycling equipment, nutrition (and weight loss), or just have some general women’s cycling-related questions to ask? Then join us on Thursday 10 February for a free women’s cycling workshop.

Come and get tips from the experts – here’s your chance to ask all those questions you do not want to ask your husband or boyfriend (or which they may not know the answer to)!

The format of the evening will be very informal, with plenty of opportunity to put questions to the panel. The information will be geared to novice/beginner cyclists.

The workshop will be presented at Cape Storm in Lester Road, Wynberg.

The shop will be open from 18h00-18h45 for shopping, with the talks starting at 18h45. On the night, PPA members will receive an exclusive 15% discount on Cape Storm apparel and 10% on other brands, upon presentation of your PPA membership card (terms and conditions apply). In addition, special offers will be available in the “Rock Bottom” section, where you’ll be able to get some end-of-line items with discounts of up to 50%.

You are welcome to simply come and shop up a storm and not stay for the presentations, or skip the shopping and just come along to learn more about cycling.

Drinks and snacks will be on offer upon arrival. The evening will end around 20h00 for 20h15 with some great lucky draws.

WHO IS THE PANEL?
Between them, the panel collectively has over 100 years of cycling experience. Hannele Steyn-Kotze needs no introduction, and has won countless local and international cycling events, amongst others representing South Africa at ten World Championships, nine MTB World Cups and 11 Triathlon World Cups. Janet Moss has completed 27 Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tours; is a seven-times World Masters Track Champion and still holds four SA track records. PPA General Manager Karin Pohl did her first Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour in 1986; has won several local and national road, MTB and track events and nowadays prefers cycle touring. Dr William Ferris is a senior lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch, has been racing for some 37 years (road cycling, track and cyclo-cross) and started cycle coaching in 1992.
