23 Jul 2012 Enter now for the new PPA Schapenberg MTB funride
Join us for a brand new MTB funride on Sunday 16 September! The event will be using many of the Schapenberg MTB trails that PPA sponsored in 2010, with new trails currently being developed for the event. Check out our Facebook page for pics taken this week when we did a trail inspection. (PS We’ve now also added a video clip of one of the sections of single track to our Facebook page – go check it out!)
Due to the great new trails being built, the event date is changing from 26 August to 16 September so that the trails can be completed.
The long route is tough and aimed at fit, competitive riders with some 730 meters of tough climbing to get you going and nine sections of technical single track to test those skills. The medium route has fewer climbs and the single track is easy. This route is best suited for intermediate riders and fit novices and consists of four moderate climbs totaling 230 meters and three easy-to-moderate single track sections. We are working on a new short route amongst the vineyards, aimed at beginners & youngsters.
