JOIN US FOR A NEW KILLARNEY CHALLENGE THIS SUNDAY Join us for a new event: The ‘Tour de Track’! Come and chase your tails around the track this Sunday and see how many laps you can do. “Racing snakes” (only riders with a seeding of A-G) race first for an hour plus one lap, after which the track opens for a two-hour session from 08h30-10h30 (racing snakes are welcome too). MALUTI DOUBLE90: HAVE YOU ENTERED YET? Is the Maluti Double90 tougher than the Coronation Double Century or not? Come and find out! Don’t miss out on this exciting team challenge for 6-12 riders per team on Saturday 1 April 2017 in and around scenic Clarens in the eastern Free State. Pre-entries only at R7 800 per team. A TRAGIC DEATH We were devastated to learn this week that PPA member Delene Boonzaaier died tragically on the weekend after being struck by a car while cycling near Hermon. Our deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends. |
KILLARNEY WEEKDAY TRAINING SESSIONS PPA’s Tuesday evening sessions at Killarney will resume next week on 24 January 2017, 18h00-19h00. Registration from17h30. R20 for PPA members, R40 for non-members. At this stage the track is also available on 31 January, as well as all the Tuesdays in February: 7, 14, 21 and 28 February. The “racing snakes” start at 07h00 for a timed race of 1 hour plus a lap. You must have a seeding of A to G to ride in this session. You are welcome to take to the track from 06h30 to 06h55 to warm up. This will be followed by a short break while the track is cleared, with the second session starting at 08h30. This two-hour session will end at 10h30 and is open to all seeded groups, including riders from A-G should you wish to ride again. DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE IMPORTANT NOTES
