We here at PPA hope that you and your families are staying safe in these trying times and are enjoying being able to cycle under the lighter lockdown regulations.
We are appealing to those members who have not yet done so to please renew your Pedal Power Association Membership. We have not increased fees this year and your contribution is an essential part of enabling us to continue making “Cycling part of the Solution”.
By renewing you will remain an acknowledged PPA Member whose generosity goes beyond your own enjoyment of being able to cycle and, as a non-profit organisation dedicated to the interests of all cyclists, your contribution to PPA is a guaranteed way of helping the sport you enjoy so much!
Just some of the ways your contribution help includes:
The Safe Cycling Campaign which is focused on raising awareness of cyclists and the need for road users to “Stay Wider of the Rider”. We also continue to work closely with authorities to make roads and mountain bike trails safer for you.
The Bike4All programme which is focused on “getting more people on bikes”. A partnership with BEN, the focus of the programme is bicycle distribution that will enable people to get to and from work and/or school affordably as well as user groups that support and provide services to their community such as neighbourhood watches and deliveries.
Engaging with and lobbying government to provide suitable cycling infrastructure making it safer for all of us to ride. We do this through collaborating with other organisations and interacting directly with government bodies on various projects and initiatives.
You would have seen the increase in social riding as well as cyclists commuting to and from work, which is one of the most cost effective means of travel whilst adhering to social distancing regulations. With all of us sharing the road, we need to keep applying pressure and let our voices be heard. Your membership fees allow us to keep doing this.
There are three payment options; through our membership renewal portal online, by manual form or by debit order.
The debit order run is scheduled for Wednesday, 15 July 2020. If you would like to be included in this run, please email members@pedalpower.org.za or info@pedalpower.org.za by 30 June 2020 to ensure the necessary debit order admin is completed.
