20 Aug 2020 PPA KILLARNEY TRAINING SESSIONS RESUME IN SEPTEMBER
Join us every Tuesday at the Killarney Raceway for a training ride. The track is open to all PPA members as well as non-members who would like a safe environment to get a few extra kilometres in during the week. The track is a 3.276 km loop that is fairly flat with long straights to get the cadence high.
You can complete as many rounds as you like within the allocated period. Please ensure you ride with a helmet at all times, be aware of your fellow faster riders who would like to overtake you. The training practice will continue regardless of wind, it is up to you as the rider to determine if you can ride or not in windy conditions. Practice will only be cancelled on condition of extreme wet weather and track maintenance. NB: Cape Towns South Easter does not count as extreme weather. It is just Cape Town weather.
IMPORTANT REGULATIONSAMIDST COVID-19:
You must arrive wearing a mask / buff before cycling.
You must maintain 2metre distance in the line-up for registration and at all times.
Please ensure you sanitise before signing in.
Registration from 17h30 (proof of current membership by means of downloading current membership card from PPA website is essential)
The session begins at 18h00 – 19h00 depending on the light
September till December and commences again the second week in January till winter break end-March.
COST: PPA Members R30, non-members pay R50. Under 15 years old is free.
