
23 Jul 2019 NEXT-GEN. OF SA PRO CYCLISTS ON THE MOVE
The Pedal Power Association (PPA) is pleased to announce the first intake of participants in its new PPA Junior High Performance Academy.
With the aim of nurturing the next generation of South African professional cyclists, the PPA founded the PPA Junior High Performance Academy earlier this year and invited young riders between 16 and 18 years of age to apply for its inaugural intake. The riders were required to submit a letter motivating why they should be included, along with a CV of recent and previous race results, as well as any previous performance testing data.
After assessing all the applications the panel of experts selcted 15 very deserving winners who have been invited to attend a five-day camp at the Sport Science Institute of South Africa in Cape Town that will consist of various testing and training sessions.
