DON’T GO THIRSTY
Ensure you carry enough water with you when training and participating at events. Carry at least two large water bottles, and keep topping them up at water points along the route so you are never left without. With temperatures nowadays often in the 30’s you need to ensure you don’t get dehydrated! PS Many cyclists like filling one bottle with an energy drink, and one with plain water to wash down energy gels and even wet your head when needed.
PPA WACKY WHEELS OVERNIGHT TOUR: DON’T MISS OUT
The PPA Wacky Wheels Overnight Tour is a fun overnight (camping) tour from Pringle Bay to Onrust and back. Entries for this popular Tour (19-20 March 2011) are now open – only 50 places available. Excellent food, lots of coffee stops, lucky draw prizes (in fact we even hand out prizes to people who can prove that they stopped en route). Use your road or MTB; we carry your camping stuff and all you need to do is have fun. For more information and to book, email marketing@pedalpower.org.za.
SPECIAL PPA CYCLING SHIRT OFFER
We have a handful of PPA cycling shirts available to sell at a reduced price of R250 (normal price R350). Buy your shirt now, collect it from the PPA stand at the Cycle Tour Expo and… if you are spotted riding the 2011 Cycle Tour next weekend in a PPA shirt, you could win a year’s free PPA membership! (Five free memberships up for grabs.) Contact Samantha on marketing@pedalpower.org.za to find out what sizes are still available. Note – some of these shirts have the normal short zip.
TUESDAY CYCLE TRAINING AT KILLARNEY
