Over ninety eager MTB bikers took advantage of the launch special and took to the mountains to try out the various trails at the official opening of the Paul Cluver/Thandi MTB trails on Sunday April. The trails were funded by PPA and Wine to Whales and included great new single-track sections including Tthe Switch Backs, Up & Downs, Pofadder, Geelslang and Huppelland.

The final winner in the PPA Safe Cycling campaign competition is Adrian Rorich, who wins a Giant Halfway folding bicycle PLUS a Magic-Shine bicycle light.
The Cape Times Lourensford races on Sunday 1 April are a selection of one-day mountain bike and trail running races which coincide with the final leg of the Absa Cape Epic.

Reinardt Janse van Rensburg of Team MTN Qhubeka claimed his maiden Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour victory in an exciting sprint finish today. Herman Fouche (Team Bonitas) improved on his third-place finish of last year by claiming second place, while Team Nu Water/CTM cyclist Jaco Venter came in third.
Congratulations to GLORIA BOTHA and HUIBRE NEETHLING, who win respectively a Giant Halfway and a Giant road bicycle in the PPA Safe Cycling Competition.
We are really thrilled with the positive reaction that PPA's "safe cycling" campaign is receiving. The campaign comprises several elements to help get the message out there that vehicles should pass cyclists with a minimum distance of 1.5m:

The Cape Peninsula will welcome some 35,000 cyclists when the 35th Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour takes place this Sunday, 11 March. Participants and spectators are encouraged to use trains and other forms of public transport to get to the start area.
