Entries are open for the Tour de PPA, which will take place on 3 February 2013, starting from the Durbanville Racecourse. This event has a challenging new route to give you optimal training for the 2013 Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour. Participants can choose from two routes: 110km or 72km.

On Thursday, 29 November 2012, the Provincial Legislature passed the Western Cape Provincial Road Traffic Act . This Act has implications for cyclists. Whilst much of the new act is largely administrative, it empowers the provincial Minister of Transport to regulate certain matters to increase road safety in the Province.
Shaun Ward from Team NuWater clinched victory in a time of 02:10:33 at the 2012 Die Burger Cycle Tour in Stellenbosch today. This follows NuWater’s team victory at the Coronation Double Century held in Swellendam last weekend.

We are in the process of finalising the details for the Summer 2013 events - amongst others, the road works in the southern suburbs (Fish Hoek area) has meant that no events can go over Boyes Drive, Main Road around Kalk Bay, or Ou Kaapse Weg. As you can imagine, this has posed quite a challenge to the organisers. However, alternative solutions have been found, as follows:
The PPA Heels on Wheels all-female funride scheduled for 9 December 2012 has been postponed to early in 2013. The event will take place as soon as a suitable new venue has been sourced. Date-wise, we are looking at February/March/April 2013, with similar route distances.
