For the past three years, the Pedal Power Association, a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 18/11/13/2410), has been actively campaigning to improve the conditions of cyclists on the roads, running various local and national initiatives to bring across the message that CYCLISTS STAY ALIVE AT 1.5m.  The Association is now looking for a highly organised ‘go-getter' and avid cyclist who is passionate about the safety of cyclists, to take the campaign to the next level, based on international best practises around safe cycling.

Nolan Hoffman from Team Abantu clinched the coveted first place in the 37th Cape Argus Pick n Pay Momentum Cycle Tour on 9 March 2014, clocking an impressive time of 02:39:01 despite wind speeds of up to 83km/h recorded at the start.  Merone Hagos, an Eritrean rider from Team MTN Qhubeka Feeder followed in second place, with HB Kruger from Team Bonitas taking third place in a hard-fought battle for podium spots.

Darren Lill from Team Cannondale Blend held off stiff competition in perfect mountain biking conditions today to clinch the 2014 Cape Argus Pick n Pay Momentum Mountain Bike Challenge title in Stellenbosch.  Second place went to Cannondale Blend teammate, Charles Keey, while Kevin Evans from Team Fedgroup Itec claimed the third and final podium spot.
