14 Aug 2013 Join us for a safe cycling awareness ride in Johannesburg
Too many cyclists have died on our roads, and we need YOU to help make a difference and raise awareness for safe passing distances and safer roads for all. The Pedal Power Association and Toyota are proud to invite you to the launch of the PPA Ride for Your Life SA Tour in Johannesburg on Sunday 8 September 2013.
The three-week, three-stage tour takes place from 8-28 September from Johannesburg via Bloemfontein and Oudtshoorn before finishing in Cape Town. The purpose of the tour is to increase awareness that “CYCLISTS STAY ALIVE AT 1.5m”.
Please join us for the start of the tour in Johannesburg (Cyclelab Fourways) for a mass awareness ride of approximately 70 km. Amongst others, you’ll be accompanied by Cherise Stander, Andrew McLean and PPA’s chairman, Steve Hayward. The ride will follow the regular CycleLab club ride route, with a ghost bike in memory of lives lost during cycling being erected at the turn-around point.
JOIN US AND PEDAL IN SUPPORT OF SAFER ROADS FOR ALL!
See you at 06:00 for a 06:30 start
