03 Jun 2011 Robertson wacky wine weekend
It’s all systems go as the Cape Winelands gear up for the Robertson Wacky Wine Weekend, with events including wine tasting at more than 30 wine farms and establishments, various arts and crafts, cheese/olive/food tasting, boat cruises – and, amongst others, a mountain bike event to work it all off.
The Robertson Winery MTB Challenge on Saturday 4 June 2011 offers three routes: 42 km (08h30), 29 km (08h50) and 12 km (09h10).
The 42 km route is aimed at fit riders and includes some challenging, technical climbs and descents. This is not a route for the novice rider. The 29 km route is not as technical as the long route, and takes riders through scenic vineyards and along easier hills. The 12 km route does not include technical sections and is suitable for children and novices.
Proceeds will go to charitable organisations in the Robertson Valley.
Late entries will be taken on the morning. For more information, follow this link .
