14 Feb 2013 Entries closing soon for 2013 MTB Challenge
Entries to the 2013 Cape Argus Pick n Pay MTB Challenge close this Friday, 15 February and riders are urged to enter soon as no late entries will be accepted.
The event, now in its 12th year, takes place over two days on the historic Boschendal Wine Estate. On Saturday, 2 March amateur and young riders can tackle either a 13km or 29km route while families and friends enjoy the entertainment outside on the estate’s beautiful lawns. Spectators can also enjoy a front row view of some of the top riders in the world at the finish of the new-look 2013 Nashua Grape Escape, which ends at Boschendal on Saturday.
Serious riders and professionals will line up at the start line on Sunday 3 March to tackle one of three longer, more challenging routes, including a 35km, a 52km or 75km option that will test the skill and endurance of even the most experienced mountain bike enthusiast.
The Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust, organisers of the event, also encourages family members to take a meander through the estate’s beautiful grounds on a specially demarcated route as they wait for friends and family members to finish their respective rides.
