04 Feb 2012 Do you know a cycle-friendly coffee shop?
PPA is about to launch a major SAFE CYCLING campaign, focusing the attention on safe passing distance. We believe vehicles should pass cyclists with at least a 1.5m berth, and you can help us to spread the word.
The PPA campaign incorporates various elements, from radio and print advertising to advertising on selected buses along northern and southern suburbs routes.
Amongst others, all 2012 Cycle Tour entrants will receive a SAFE CYCLING bumper sticker. The stickers will also be available at the PPA Office; funrides; participating cycle dealers; as well as cycle-friendly coffee shops. The bumper stickers will be linked to a competition in which you can win one of six Giant bicycles – more about that in the next day or two.
Would you like your local coffee shop to carry these bumper stickers? Send us an email to nominate the coffee shop, and the top 10 nominated shops will be contacted in this regard.
The campaign will be officially launched next week on Wednesday 15 February – watch our website for details.
