Chapman’s Peak Drive: Temporary Wednesday Closures for Conservation Efforts.

Cape Town’s iconic Chapman’s Peak Drive will be closed to all traffic, including vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians, on Wednesdays throughout February and March.

The closures, scheduled from 10:00 to 16:00
February: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th
March: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

The closures are part of an environmental initiative to remove invasive alien vegetation that threatens the region’s indigenous flora and groundwater supply. This necessary maintenance aims to preserve the natural beauty of the Cape Peninsula, ensuring the long-term sustainability of this renowned scenic route.
