ROUTE DESCRIPTION
A new road funride on the PPA calendar. The 80 km and 45 km routes head out along Berg River Boulevard before exiting Paarl along the Noord Agter Paarl road and turning left onto the R44 towards Agter Paarl. The routes split at the Klapmuts 4-way stop, where the 45 km route turns left and heads back to Paarl.  The 80 km route proceeds straight at the 4-way stop, taking cyclists into Stellenbosch and over the new Helshoogte Pass before returning to Paarl via the R310/R45 T-junction. Both routes finish on Berg River Boulevard, with a neutral zone back to the venue.  Apart from the one major climb on the 80 km route, both routes are primarily flat, with undulating rollers.

Cyclists doing the 13 km untimed route will complete a loop around the outskirts of Paarl before returning to finish along Berg River Boulevard.  This route is flat and is perfect for beginners or children accompanied by an adult.

DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE
From the N1, take EXIT 59, the second exit to Paarl. From the off-ramp, turn left onto Jan Van Riebeeck Drive and left again at the circle.  Follow the marshals to the designated parking areas. Venue GPS Coordinates: S°3344.15; E 18°58.24.

NOTES
Please note helmets are required even for all kiddie tri-cycles and bicycles. All children u/10 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Remember to wear your PPA road funride number.
