10 Dec Last Killarney training session for 2012

The last Killarney training session for 2012 will take place on Tuesday 11 December. Training will resume in the New Year on Tuesday 8 January.

10 Dec Nashua signs on as naming rights sponsor for new-look Grape Escape

Local office automation company Nashua has signed on as the new naming rights sponsor of the Nashua Grape Escape. Entries for the 2013 iteration of this MTB stage race the week before the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour, are now open.

04 Dec New traffic laws affect cyclists

On Thursday, 29 November 2012, the Provincial Legislature passed the Western Cape Provincial Road Traffic Act . This Act has implications for cyclists. Whilst much of the new act is largely administrative, it empowers the provincial Minister of Transport to regulate certain matters to increase road safety in the Province.

Shaun Ward from Team NuWater clinched victory in a time of 02:10:33 at the 2012 Die Burger Cycle Tour in Stellenbosch today. This follows NuWater’s team victory at the Coronation Double Century held in Swellendam last weekend.

01 Dec Join us for official launch of Hermanus MTB trails

Join us on Saturday 8 December for the official opening of the MTB trails near Hemel & Aarde in Hermanus of which sections of the singletrack have been sponsored by PPA! Come and ride one of four routes (33km, 25km, 13km and 5km). For this special launch, a permit fee of only R20 will be charged.

We are in the process of finalising the details for the Summer 2013 events - amongst others, the road works in the southern suburbs (Fish Hoek area) has meant that no events can go over Boyes Drive, Main Road around Kalk Bay, or Ou Kaapse Weg.
